Festa da Capoeira is Ginga Mundo Oakland's annual Capoeira Batizado & Troca de Cordas event. Hosted by Formado Chipa and his students at our academy Axé Oakland, our Festa de Capoeira features capoeira workshops and rodas led by Ginga Mundo Founder Mestre Sabiá and other visiting guests. We will have our batizado & troca de cordas event to initiate new students and promote continuing students. This year, we will also host our 3rd Festa de Cantigas (Capoeira Music Festival)!
Event registration is now open -- Please sign up as soon as possible to help us cover event costs, such as special guest airfare, lodging, event supplies, student t-shirts, cordas (belts) and other budget items.
